Typhoon might hit Hong Kong in Mid-Autumn Festival, the Observatory refers to tropical cyclone " Meranti " will be enhanced over the next two or three days, to the east of Luzon toward Taiwan .
At the current forecast path, " Meranti " might becomes super typhoon in Hong Kong on 14th to enter the 800 km range, it enters within 400 km of Hong Kong or will be hoisted in the Mid-Autumn Festival Day on 15th.
Observatory Scientific Officer Zhuang Sining refers to the current " Meranti " path is still uncertain whether it will hit Hong Kong because there ae many variables. The forecast of it’s landing near in Hong Kong, Hong Kong will still be subject to cross-flow rain bands, the rain will be more frequent on 15th .
