Hong Kong's metro are well-known for its colourful design. Many people are impressed by its distinctive design for each station which reduces the chance of getting off the wrong station.
Surprisingly, the colour from each station has been chosen carefully. For instances, Wong Tai Sin station uses yellow colour because "Wong" in Chinese represents yellow colour too. Lai Chi Kok station uses red colour since "Lai Chi" means lychee in Chinese. Tiu Keng Leng and Fortress Hill are mountains name so they use green colour for the stations. Kowloon Tong and Admiralty stations were navy headquarters in the past. The stations then painted as blue colour.
