He JunJie, who suffers from the rare disease Succinic Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase Deficiency (SSADH deficiency)

Because his body lacks the enzyme succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase,

he frequently experiences seizures, physical flaccidity, severe brain atrophy, cardiopulmonary failure, and kidney disease.

His condition has recently deteriorated again.

His mother says that JunJie has been having frequent, non-stop full-body seizures recently, requiring adjustments to his medication dosage.

The seizures have also caused massive gastric bleeding, necessitating fasting to prevent vomit from entering his lungs.

However, fasting exacerbates the spasms, and the spasms trigger further gastric bleeding, creating a vicious cycle.

Additionally, his scoliosis is compressing his stomach, further increasing the risk of bleeding.

They have to rely on stomach medicine or hemostatic injections to stop the bleeding, but although the dosage is constantly being increased, the results are not ideal.

Doctors have frankly stated that JunJie’s condition is declining.

His lung function is worsening and his blood oxygen levels are low; he sometimes needs to wear an oxygen mask and must use a ventilator while sleeping.

They have advised his mother and family to prepare themselves mentally.

His mother took JunJie home from the hospital recently when he was in a slightly better state.

"When his condition is a bit better, I bring him home; I just want him to be able to come back home more often."

"Good health... I don't even dare to think about that anymore, I just hope he is happy in his life."

These words convey her utter helplessness and heartbreak.
