The fight against the pandemic is endless, how long do we have to stay at home?

espite the fatigue of fighting the epidemic, the loving Hong Kong people are still thinking about a group of children who suffer from rare diseases and long-term patients with chronic illness! Last Saturday, the generous donors of the Lion Clubs of Hong Kong Island and Lifewire benefactors donated toys, snacks, epidemic prevention supply to around 150 families with patients with chronic and rare diseases.

A team of volunteers from the Scout Association of Hong Kong and the Lions Club of Hong Kong Island gathered at the Scout Association's Sham Shui Po West District Headquarters two hours before the event started. They prepared bags of happy pandemic prevention gift packs in advance. With more people, the work could be done more easily. The Hong Kong people's spirit of solidarity and high efficiency were once again demonstrated, and the task was completed in less than an hour!

The happy pandemic prevention gift packages are rich in content, including masks for children and adults, sub-copper ion antibacterial gloves, cleaning and disinfectant spray, snacks, Disney multi-purpose small bags and stickers, Korean 'Ddung' octopus coin purse, purses, notebooks, etc.. they all returned home with a lot of goodies. The families of the patients were mainly from Lifewire、Rare Disease Hong Kong、mucopolysaccharidosis、luberous sclerosis、angelman syndrome、Wilson's disease, Green Grass Notes、Hereditary angioedema and other cases.

The volunteer team on that day included Hong Kong Scouts and members of the Lions Club of Hong Kong Island. In addition to preparing gift packages, they also assisted in queuing and distribution. The volunteers also took this opportunity to care for the patients' families, understand their needs, and lend their heart and soul.
