Last Saturday at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground, the Hong Kong Premier League Hong Kong Island Derby took place, featuring Eastern District Football Club vs. Kwoon Chung Southern District FC.

A group of children supported by Lifewire, each facing rare health conditions, served as match mascots and walked onto the field hand-in-hand with the players—a truly inspiring moment. The children included: Chu Yat-long (Mucopolysaccharidosis), Pak Hei-yau (Congenital Hip Dysplasia), Wong Wai-lung (ATAD3A gene-related condition),Lam Bok-yin (Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome, RSTS)
Kwok Pak-hei (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, DMD)
In addition, Chu Yan-hei (Undiagnosed Rare Disease) took on the role of Honorary Kick-off Ambassador.

The event also coincided with Eastern District Sports Day, which featured carnival booths, games, and snacks.

We extend our gratitude to the Eastern District Sports Association for the invitation, giving these children with rare diseases the precious opportunity to be part of the matchday experience and move together in the spirit of sports.
