The Hong Kong Dance Company has given away 300 tickets of "Dim Sum Adventures At Lung Fung Teahouse 2.0" to Lifewire, a large-scale family-friendly musical and dance drama that has been staged at the Shatin Town Hall Concert Hall for three consecutive performances from August 4 to 6.
Lifewire donated the tickets to other groups, including The Free Methodist Church Of Hong Kong, Construction Charity Fund Integrated Service Centre, Christian Family Service Centre, Arts Vocal Music Studio, the Hong Kong Southern District Women's Association, and the office of Councillor Leung Yau Fong in Sham Shui Po. Let's go to Lung fung Tea House with siu mai and shrimp dumplings to have some tea and eat some buns!
Introduction
Shrimp dumplings and siu mai will jump into the steamer time machine with you and travel through time and space back to the time when your grandmother was not married yet!
The old-fashioned "Dim Sum Adventures At Lung Fung Teahouse 2.0" has a large "Last Day" sign posted next to its carved wooden sign! The shrimp dumplings and siu-mai boys were so scared that they rolled away! "What to do? What to do? beef cheung fun (steamed rice rolls), roast pork rolls, big steamed buns, steamed chicken buns, baked sago pudding, malay sponge cake, quail egg siu mai and even barbecue pork buns. Are we just going to say bye bye and never see each other again?!"
The Hong Kong Dance Company Children’s and Youth Troupes along with professional dancers will take over the delicious world of Cantonese dim sum, bringing their dance talent to a heartwarming tale full of laugh-out-loud moments. The premiere in 2014 was well received, and this summer there will be a special guest performance, Helen Tam, who will sing and dance with you and reminisce about the past, detailing the tea-drinking culture, which will make the authentic Hong Kong people feel very familiar!
