When Leanne Li meets... he, her, him

"Although my movements are limited, my thoughts are in sync with the train!"

"Whether it's sunny or stormy, I want to remind the public!"

"You have your own abilities, please believe in yourself!"

Sometimes it's League of Legends, sometimes it's weather reports, and sometimes it's track racing!

She is the "Lifewire Run Ambassador" who accompanies sick children in pursuing their dreams ---- Leanne Li

"Lau Sing, are you tricking me?" Leanne Lee appeared in the TV series "Come on, Cousin"  which once became a hot topic on the Internet and was even praised by netizens: "Leanne Li should win the Best Supporting Actress award just for this phrase!" In fact, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in other dramas. Today, she has taken off the glory of the 2005 Miss Chinese International crown. Which makes this charming beauty even more dazzling is her gratitude, her continuous learning and sharing, and her selfless kindness.
She became Wong Cho-lam's wife four years ago, and became a mother at the end of last year. The arrival of their daughter Gabrielle has pushed the couple's love to another level. Cho-Lam and Leanne donated all the donations from their daughter's 100-day party to Lifewire, she feels it is her duty to help children with rare diseases. Leanne also took action and immediately agreed to be the “Lifewire Run Ambassador” for Lifewire’s annual event [Lifewire Run . Shing Mun River] campaign, hoping that more people will participate and let more people understand rare diseases.

Three sick children, Three dreams

Although she is a new mother and has a busy work schedule, Leanne still took two days off to shoot  [Love Running. Shing Mun River] content with three Lifewire patients, ZChu Yat Long, Chen Tsz Kin and Sophie, let's chase our dreams together. Three sick children, each with different physical conditions and small but big dreams, each devised three stories; one about a train, one about an observatory, and one about saving the world...

"Sister Leanne, do you know how to play this?" "Do you know what I like?" "Is my drawing pretty?" "How about I change this dialogue!" Eating lunch boxes together, having NGs together, singing together, playing “rock, paper, scissors” together…When Leanne meets three young directors and actors, the process is full of laughter, laughter, and more laughter...

After three episodes of 「對手戲」, Leanne was completely moved by them: "I think they are a group of very cute, lively and well-loved children. They have ideals that are very enthusiastic and full of passion for life. I see a strong positive energy in them. No matter what difficulties they encounter, they are so positive."

Confident and serious, appropriate, Let's go!

"Sophie is easy to talk to you, easy to get acquainted with, not afraid of strangers." "Long Long said 'I want to sing the 紅日' as soon as he came, and then he sang the song. He is not shy at all." "Tsz Kin is very creative and good at drawing. When he drew a train, it was not realistic enough, and he seemed a little upset. I think he is a child who sets high standards for himself."

Leanne saw something worth learning from the three children, which was their serious attitude and self-confidence. "I saw how confident they were and how cheerful they were. I could see that the patients were just like other children. There was not much difference, they have that childlike innocence!"

During the filming, some of the venues involved steps and high platforms, and the team was extra nervous to support or even hold them up, and vice versa. Although it was exhausting, she still faced it calmly. Leanne did not hide her experience: "I saw that the families of sick children would not be overly nervous or overprotective because their children had special needs. They would just let go and do whatever they wanted. They just stood up silently to support them and watched them every step of the way. I think the parents of sick children are worth learning from. They let go when it is appropriate."

Deepen your understanding and resolve labeling

“They have the pressure of medical expenses… and also the pressure of being discriminated against and labeled.” After just two days of filming, Leanne has already felt the plight of the sick children’s families. In addition to working hard with the sick children in bringing the videos to life, she also took the initiative to communicate with parents in the hope of deepening her understanding of rare diseases. In fact, rare diseases are different from common diseases. The medical expenses can easily reach millions a year, hich is very expensive for ordinary families to cope with. She hopes that kind-hearted people can donate money to help the families of sick children and reduce their financial burden.

Because of their rare diseases, they may behave differently from others and face many different looks when going out. "To defuse these labels, understanding is important. So I hope that through working with Long Long, Tsz Kin and Sophie, more people will understand rare diseases and hope to help them and their families bring more strength, understanding and support!"

She is an angel that fell into earth

Happiness is not inevitable, and health is not inevitable either. As a new mother, Leanne has a deeper understanding after interacting with the families of sick children. In fact, what Leanne expresses from her heart is not only the aura of happiness, but also the cherishment, contentment and gratitude from her heart. "The gift God gave me was a wonderful family that I never thought I would have. My father, mother, and sister are all good, and we have no particular quarrels. We are very harmonious. I hope it will continue like this until we grow old."

Leanne is indeed full of treasures of all the gifts God has bestowed upon her, but the one that fascinated her the most was her the little angel! Her daughter Gabrielle can instantly turn her mother into a little fan,  Sharing her idol's "肉照" with everyone anytime and anywhere, she can't help but loop the content "She's so cute!". The contented mother said, "I'm a pretty simple person, which means I'm happy quite easily. My daughter is Cho Lam's song "All About Loving You", and my husband is a gift from God."

Happiness Mindset To Share and Learn

Continuous learning and sharing are Leanne and Cho-Lam’s secrets to retaining happiness! "We need to learn how to share what we have with others. We need to learn this." This is not only a life lesson for her and Cho-lam, but she also hopes that Gabrielle can volunteer with them in the future to share the love. "It will make her realize that she is in a very happy family and a very happy environment. She needs to learn that many things are not so easy to attain. She needs to learn to share and learn how to treat people."

"Now it's my daughter who plays more at home. She's our toy. Just kidding!" Leanne joked that their daughter is the spiritual nourishment for the couple."When I get home, the first thing I do is wash my hands and play games with her, pretending to make animal noises, etc. Then I will watch her! She is so funny sometimes. taking pictures and watching those videos while we're out or working is our spiritual sustenance. It is very important!"

Discarding her dream temporarily to raise her daughter full-time

Did the little princess inherit her parents’ acting genes? "Actually, she's quite cool! She's quite like the two of us when we were kids, she's quieter and not very active, she doesn't smile all the time. It takes a lot of effort for us to pretend to be a ghost or a horse. When we want to act funny, we really have to put in a lot of effort. She'll laugh a few times, then stop laughing, which is quite tiring!"

If her daughter is interested in the entertainment industry in the future, Leanne said she would not stop her. "We won't restrict her from learning certain amount of things, or to achieve a certain level of academic performance; the important thing is that she can pursue what she likes!"Leanne admitted that she spends most of her time taking care of her daughter and does not work full-time. "When she grows up, she doesn't need me to see her full potential, so she can pursue her own dreams first..."

"My husband said we should have two, four, or six children, but not three because the one in the middle will be neglected. So I thought we should have two first, so we don't have a football team." Leanne admitted that she had no special expectations, she just hoped that her daughter would grow up healthily and be a happy baby, but she would not indulge her."Teaching her morals is more important than academic qualifications, how to treat people, how to learn to share, and even how to do housework; that is, she can't do nothing!"

The Newlyweds No Longer Distant

Although they are busy, the couple has not forgotten their original intentions; they often create sweet memories, "No matter how busy we are, we will always make time to date; every year we arrange a special celebration or go abroad for our wedding anniversary, and I will never forget the special days." Cho-Lam will also go to great lengths, "He always makes me happy! For example, when he was pursuing me, he took me to places I didn't know, and I had to take a blue taxi to go up the mountain. . On our 10th anniversary, he took me back to our old dating spot. Last time I went blindfolded, this time he said he wanted me to open my eyes and see where I went. In fact, he has a lot of romantic plans! He won't ignore me even when the baby is born, which makes me feel relieved, and I can have more children without any worries!"

Leanne always smiles when she talks about her wedding, but when she thinks back to her wedding moment, there are both sweet and bitter moments. "After we got married, he was away for a long time because he had to film a movie." She was depressed because of this, "We found that we couldn't leave for too long." After that, the two reached a consensus to try to take jobs in Hong Kong as much as possible to shorten the time away from Hong Kong, "Or he comes to visit me, I go to visit him. We cooperate!"

Meeting, falling in love, and getting along with each other is not easy at all. They have experienced separations and reunions for many years, so they cherish this relationship very much. "Many couples quarrel over trivial matters, and then hurt each other's feelings. We give in to each other and rarely get upset over trivial matters or lose our temper."

"At night, we have time to chat more, share more about the things we have encountered, or the difficulties, and our habit of praying together." in addition to mutual adjustment and accommodation, Leanne summed up the way for couples to get along with each other is "frank communication."

【Lifewire Run.Shing Mun River】Short Film

Sick Children's Originality VS  Leanne Li's Performance

The Little Director Has Something To Say x  3

This year【Love to run. Shing Mun River】Invited three sick children to create their own stories about their dreams, from conception, drawing story boards to filming. They all participated fully and starred with "Lifewire Run Ambassador" Leanne Li.

《Starting from a Sunny Day》

Edited, directed, and starred by: Chu Yat Long (10) Mucopolysaccharidoses  type VI

Little director's profile

10 years old, but as tall as a 6 year old. Long Long lacks a certain enzyme in his body, which causes the accumulation of mucopolysaccharides, affecting cells and joints. This causes him to be short and have stiff joints, resulting in a protruding spinal cord with a slight inward curvature, and his short fingers have difficulty exerting force. When he was less than one year old, he underwent an umbilical cord blood transplant and was on the verge of death. Doctors estimate that after more than ten years, there is a chance that the transplanted substances will be rejected by the patient, and the eyes, bones, heart and other aspects will deteriorate and return to the condition before the operation.
Lifewire Run.Intention
Long Long finally realized his dream of becoming the director of an observatory! The story is about Leanne Li applying for a job as a weather reporter at the Observatory, Lang Lang, who is playing the leading role for the first time, plays the director of the Observatory and interviews her. How did this candidate perform? Will she be able to pass the test and get hired in the end?
Lifewire Run.Dream
Long Long's dream is to become the director of an observatory. He hopes to serve the public by reporting weather conditions, so that citizens can get the most accurate weather forecast before going out, regardless of whether it is stormy or sunny.
Lifewire Run.Thought
Lang Lang personally produced his own story this time. He said, "It was a bit hard. It was so hot (the temperature reached 34 degrees on the day of filming). The most difficult part was recording over and over again." Is it worth it? He said with a firm look in his eyes: "It's worth it! Not only can I fulfill my dream, but I can also raise funds to help sick children." Lang Lang will also participate in [Love Run. Shing Mun River], and set a goal to run 3 kilometers continuously! "Even if fate is wandering, even if fate is full of twists and turns..." Long Long, who vowed to break through himself, said this and started to sing happily again.
Lifewire Run.Interest
"I'm so happy!" (Why?) "I saw a star!" The playful Long Long always makes everyone laugh. "I think it would be better to say it this way!" Long Long, who is an excellent actor and director, also kept providing suggestions on the dialogue. He is really "born to do this job"! When he met Leanne for the first time, he praised her, "You did a great job! She can...she can express the words on the paper so well!" He hopes to work together again, and even hopes to have a party with Sister Leanne. (What's the party for?) Eat a lot of food!" Long Long, not only you, we also are looking forward to it!

《Lifewire Run Association》

Edited, directed, and starred by Sophie (14) Kabuki Syndrome

Little director's profile

Kabuki syndrome is a disease of congenital multiple abnormalities combined with delayed intellectual development. The main symptoms of patients include special facial features, delayed growth, intellectual disability, bone problems, etc. Sophie was born with heart leakage and also developed Coloboma (a defect in the iris, causing fear of light and poor vision). When she was about one year old, it was discovered that her pelvis was displaced, and she had surgery to repair the heart leakage at the age of four. When she was about one year old, it was discovered that her pelvis was displaced, and she had surgery to repair the heart leakage at the age of four.
Lifewire Run.Intention
In her own comic story, Sophie transforms into a superwoman with super speed and forms a league of heroes with several friends. However, at the critical moment, her super powers fail, leaving Sophie frustrated and helpless. Can they finally complete the mission of saving the world?
Lifewire Run.Dream
"I hope I can become a healthy and beautiful woman. "Sophie has a slightly droopy right eye and an ectropion eyelid. She walks with a limp and has severe flat feet. She falls easily and has difficulty running. She places her dream in comic stories, to be able to run healthily and help others! " "I want to think about my own story and run to save Hong Kong Earth!"
Lifewire Run.Thought
This time, sister Leanne helped her accomplish this great task. Sophie's team of five people all have special abilities that allow them to run very fast with a touch of the body, but they become ineffective for one hour every day. Once, on the way to rescue, her supernatural power happened to disappear; but her teammate Sister Leanne made a very important revelation; in the end, Sophie's words "I must believe in myself!" resolved the bomb crisis! "We can do it with a kind heart!" Sophie wants to tell everyone: "Don't be afraid, as long as you have a kind heart, you can save Hong Kong and help others even if you don't have special abilities."
Lifewire Run.Interest
「清侵磨教叉燒包」,Before going to bed, Sophie always loved to draw and play games with Long Long, Tze Kin, and sister Leanne, such as "小明" , "Reversi" ... no matter where she is, she will be infected by her laughter. Before the official shoot, they drew the story together and were confident in Leanne’s interpretation of her role. "I think Leanne will do a good job." She was excited to be participating in the creative filming for the first time: "I am very happy because I met my friends. I like Sister Leanne very much. I am very happy that we can complete this story together!"

《Synchronize With The Train》

Chen Tsz Kin (10 years old)  Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Little director's profile

Tsz Kin suffers from a rare disease that is incurable, with an incidence rate of one in 5,000. His muscles will gradually atrophy and die, which not only affects his ability to move, but also his cardiopulmonary function. In severe cases, he has to rely on a ventilator. Doctors have estimated the average life expectancy of these patients to be 18 years. When I met Tse Kin a year ago, he could still walk. But in less than a year, his condition had deteriorated to the point where he had to rely on a wheelchair to get around. When getting in and out of the door and getting on the wheelchair, Tsz Kin’s hands were not strong enough to support himself, so he could only stretch out his hands and ask his mother to help him. Since many places disability facilities, every time he goes out it's like going to war.
Lifewire Run.intention
"Although I am a little snail, I can't hide my inner hope and exploration of the future..." The original story written by Tsz Kin is actually more like a voice from the heart.
Lifewire Run.dream
"My dream is to become a train conductor!" Tsz Kin, sitting in a wheelchair, enthusiastically shared his dream with us. "Because I can carry people to different places, I feel very happy and relieved." Initially, he felt that trains with only rails were different from road transportation and were very special, so he had a special liking for them and even kept looking up information and studying everything about trains.
Lifewire Run.thought
Tsz Kin has loved the sense of speed brought by trains since he was a child, and it has broadened his horizons. "Although my movements are restricted, my thoughts are in sync with the train..." These monologues express that a wheelchair cannot hinder the young man's big world. Although he has limited mobility, Tsz Kin can still step into the desert and participate in the 100-kilometer race; "the snail and the train run in sync", as if it is no longer a dream
Lifewire Run.interest
"Give yourself more confidence, and one day you will be able to outrun the train." Just as he said in the Lifewire Run last year. It seemed difficult, but in the end he was able to successfully complete the one kilometer race. Tsz Kin recalled the small accident he encountered at the start that day, but it did not hit him; this year, he had a firm look in his eyes: "Lifewire Run I'm here again!"
