Champion:王浚亘
Cash prize of $3,000 and a DJI SPARK drone

The daily life of Hong Kong is inspired by Hong Kong's nightlife and the most representative means of transportation in Hong Kong. Seeing the brilliant neon lights intertwined with the reflections of the glass windows of the minibus at night has become the most representative scene of Hong Kong's nightlife.
Runner-Up:霍智仁
Cash Prize $2000

This photo was taken at the top of Mount Tai Mo Shan, howing a cloud and mist scene that looks like a landscape painting. Hong Kong people have been trapped in a crowded concrete jungle for too long. People and walls have become everything in their lives, but they have forgotten that there are still natural landscapes outside the concrete that are worth our appreciation and experience of the true beauty that is unique to Hong Kong.
3rd Place: Chow Zi Hao Marcus
Cash Prize $1000

Trams have always been with Hong Kong people and witnessed the glorious years of our city. I hope these little green boxes can last forever and occasionally make that familiar ding-ding sound.

Other shortlisted works:

It will be exhibited in the "My Hong Kong Story" charity photography exhibition and printed in some exhibition publications.

鄭鍵樺

Hong Kong is an international financial center, a food paradise, and most definitely a place that evolved from a fishing village. The former fishing village has been transformed into high-rise buildings. Hong Kong's fishing villages are gradually setting like the setting sun, and their former beauty will no longer exist.
CHAN HOI TAT

Lion Rock always silently protects Hong Kong people from behind. Every generation of Hong Kong people has the tenacious and unyielding Lion Rock spirit. Hong Kong is our root. We stand under the Lion Rock, working from sunrise to sunset, just to support a family. Although the road ahead is bumpy, we firmly believe that with the support of our fellow travelers, the sky will clear up after the rain.
MH Leung

Have you ever encountered a moment of beauty on your way home? You don't have to wait and capture beautiful moments, but you can find something extraordinary in life. Perhaps the sunset you see after school, with its warm sunlight shining through the busy streets and densely packed buildings, will be a moment worth capturing for you and me.
Ip Ho Nam

Our moral values often manipulates how we seed things, defining whether they are right or wrong. However what we perceive are not always either black or white, as no one is absolutely right or wrong. In fact, we should always take a step back before judging anything as we might easily be blinded by our ego. Alternatively, try to appreciate the beauty in everything and learn to embrace our imperfection.
呂保懋

"We let's all meet at the foot of Lion Rock." We live under the Lion Rock, and each of us has a share of the Lion Rock spirit, which is hard work, solidarity, and perseverance. Our feelings towards Lion Rock have not changed, and will not change in the future. Tonight, the lion is still guarding Hong Kong.

Smartphones have become a necessity for Hong Kong people since their introduction. However, excessive reliance on smartphones has alienated people from each other. Every Hong Kong person has become a "phone addict" and sometimes uses WhatsApp to communicate even when friends are around. The Hong Kong people in the photo are always busy with their phones, which further alienates people from each other and makes smartphones the main popular culture of the new generation. It is also one of the characteristics that shows that Hong Kong is at the forefront of fashion culture.

「My Hong Kong Story」College Category:

Champion: 吳家耀
Cash prize of $3,000 and a DJI SPARK drone

The heavy fog makes the Victoria Harbour look lighter in colour, which contrasts with the child in red clothes, making it easier for viewers to focus on the children. Especially the future protagonist in the middle, looking back at the camera as if expressing his feelings about Hong Kong.
Runner-up:Iu Ka Ming Kelvin
cash prize $2000

Most Hong Kong people live in a concrete jungle every day, and when they look up they see one high-rise building after another. But from another perspective, we should be thankful that we can still see the blue sky. We should cherish this rare blue sky, do our best to protect it and not let it be polluted again.
3rd place: 韓幸昆
cash prize$1000

繁華的街道上,總不乏趕路的人。

I took this picture to protect Hong Kong's precious ecological environment. A bizarre fire broke out in Nan Sheng Wai, which was originally a back garden in Hong Kong. The motive for the fire has led people to suspect that it was a collusion between officials and businessmen, allowing developers to build buildings with justification. The picture shows that the trees beside the picnic path have been burned and turned yellow, the land has been burned to scorched earth, and there are tall buildings in the distance.
Kwan Kam Kong

This photo shows a group of middle-aged men playing chess in a park. This kind of scene can be seen everywhere in Hong Kong, but few people pay attention to it.
Wu Chi Kit

Central, the political and commercial center of Hong Kong Central is the heart of Hong Kong. It is also the earliest developed area after the founding of Hong Kong and the commercial center of Hong Kong. Skyscrapers continue to be built in Central, including the headquarters of various banks. As the financial market began to prosper, many of Hong Kong's major commercial activities were carried out in Central, and many Hong Kong people are proud to work in Central.。

The gradual decline of red minibuses in Hong Kong, "The Midnight After" film happens to use the red minibuses as the theme to reflect the current predicament of Hong Kong. Therefore, I hope to awaken Hong Kong people's attention to local culture through this work.
Wong Wing Chi

[Hong Kong | Office Workers] This lady walks briskly along the complicated streets, looking down at her phone, searching for her own Hong Kong story.
孔祥輝

Sea fog mainly appears during the Spring Festival, and it is a very rare thing to encounter such a scene. When the lights of the buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour are lit up, coupled with the backdrop of sea fog, it seems to add a touch of color to Hong Kong.

This photo is titled "Ancient Kitchen", it is in Lantau Island, Tai Lang Village, a small village with a sparse population. but the villagers are full of humanity! In the photo, you can see [he] is cooking, using an ancient stove and an old-fashioned cast-iron wok, and the fuel is firewood that has to be chopped down from the mountain. Have you ever seen a kitchen like this?

/ Hong Kong · Rushing on the Road Taken on / A road in Central Camera model / Canon 7d mark ii It doesn’t matter which road the photo was taken on, but what do we see in this familiar situation? Many people will work hard and move towards their goals, rushing around every day rushing to meet, catch their homework, take taxis and save time. No one has ever looked up to appreciate the beauty of the present.

Ming Thein believes that the theme of "Hong Kong" is very broad and subjective, but the image must interpret the concept of "Hong Kong"; the photographer transforms personal experiences into images, creating a space for the audience to experience Hong Kong full of personal experiences.

He pointed out that the secondary school group seemed to be more creative, and although their expressive ability might not be as good as that of the tertiary group, their thinking mode was more open than that of the tertiary group. He reminded the contestants that creativity and composition are particularly important, and too many post-production effects will not make the picture better. Ming Thein encourages photographers to think more about the subject and its personal meaning to them, rather than copying the common mainstream models. Most importantly, the image should be a story that is imbued with memories, like a conversation with the audience; the best images are those that are simple and clear in structure.

Thank you for participating in the competition and congratulations to the above winners. We will invite you to receive the prize and visit on the opening day of the charity photography exhibition.
