A 60-year-old "girlish mind" mother chases her dreams with children with a rare disease
Age has never been a limit. June, now 60 years old, is a single mother and also a pole dancer. A special birthday party was just held, where three dances performed. Not only does she still have charm, but she is also full of kindness.
All proceeds will be donated to Lifewire's "Children Chasing Dreams" project Lifewire「童你追夢」 計劃,to pass on the spirit of pursuing dreams.
Inspired by Jeremy@MIRROR's philosophy of never giving up, June started learning pole dancing last year. She is not afraid of hard work, she achieved great results in just a few months. While exercising, it also helped her lose weight and successfully.
"I want to send a clear message through this event, that chasing dreams is not limited by age."
June believes that everyone has the right to pursue their dreams, just like 13-year-old Chen Tsz Kin (suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy) and 28-year-old 周佩珊 (suffering from spinal muscular atrophy), Although they suffers from a rare disease, they still insists on chasing their dreams
June, who wants to influence lives with her own life, donated all proceeds from her birthday party to Lifewire's "Children's Chasing Dreams" program Lifewire「童你追夢」 計劃, to help children with rare diseases overcome the obstacles of their diseases and bravely complete their life checklist!
Lifewire has launched the Return Gift Charity Donation Program 回禮慈善捐款計劃 and the 100-Day Banquet Return Gift Charity Donation Program 百日宴回禮慈善捐款計劃 to encourage people to turn small gifts or guest greetings at celebratory parties and banquets into charity donations to help Lifewire rare disease cases and give sick children the opportunity to continue their lives
I hope you can walk with sick children, ignite their short life journey, and convey the message of brave pursuit of dreams to society
